Wings of Kilimanjaro – Introduction

Wings of Kilimanjaro
In early 2013, myself and 199 other adventurers from every corner of the globe will come together for a once-in-a-lifetime, world record-breaking event to climb and fly from the “Roof of Africa” – Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain on the planet, and in doing so will raise over a million dollars for charity!

We are using our sport and passion for adventure as a platform to raise $1m for two very worthwhile and transparent charities working in the Kilimanjaro area of Tanzania:
Plant with Purpose works with 38 different communities in the regions surrounding Mount Kilimanjaro to create alternatives to deforestation.
One Foundation is working to provide sustainable and community led water and sanitation programmes in Tanzania.

100% of donations go to the charities and expedition expenses are covered by us pilots.

Each participating pilot needs to reach a base donation of $5000 and this is where I need your help! The idea is that if everyone pitches in this huge task will be effortless.
